Dark Pursuits Bathed in Fire: The Observable Current of the Left Hand Path

This study outlines Left Hand Path goals which the Cult of Cthulhu has long observed.  Hundreds of Left Hand Path groups and practitioners were scrutinized, evaluated, and modeled based upon not only the quantity but also the quality of what they manifested, as well as, their intended influence on consensual reality.  So far as we can determine, such objectives proceed along three distinct lines: Individual, Organizational, and as a Species with each line giving aid to the others.  For instance, an individual pursuing the Fourth Way taught by Gurdjieff and Ouspensky builds upon an organization choosing a certain aim to focus on which then builds upon the Left Hand Path as a race acquiring more power.

I.  Autonomy

a.  Coherency – Cooperation and coordination within the LHP.  Finding commonalities among the various branches.

b.  Representation – Being represented in politics and society so that our voice can be heard.

c.  Awareness – Promotion and education of what the LHP is about and the importance of our struggle.

II.  Power

a.  Assessment – Take a look at your available resources and potential.  What is the situation at the moment?

b.  Aim – Choose a particular intent, a specific attainable goal.

c.  Opportunity – Cultivate the opportunities surrounding you in order to acquire more power.

III.  Self-Deification

a.  Consciousness – Achieving higher states of consciousness; Awakening according to the 4th Way.

b.  Evolution – Willed development that creates positive changes.

c.  Paradigm Shift – Altering reality to suit the LHP.

Self Improvement by the daily effort of incremental progression

In other words, do a little bit every day in order to manifest result seeds.  Every week provides a substantive outcome or breakthrough until small results every month become measureable progress each year in every category.  Because pursuing all seven of the following might be too much to keep up with every single day (though the LHP practitioner is encouraged to try) efforts have been broken down into attainable weekly benchmarks that one can most assuredly strive for.  Please note that some of the following aspects involve a process which cannot be completed within a week.  If sufficient efforts are made, then the fruits of one’s labor shall be realized.  The Cthulhu Cult recommends following this methodology of self-improvement, borne of successful individuals throughout the world since the dawn of man.

1. Physical – weekly full body workout with weight training, cardio, and a healthy protein-rich diet.

2. Intellectual – weekly information gathering, lively discussion, and philosophical considerations.

3. Emotional – weekly development of healthy personal relationships.

4. Artistic – weekly creation of art… a story, poem, chapter, painting, drawing, sculpture, piece of music, essay, article, video, photo, etc.

5. Sexual – weekly sexual gratification and fetish exploration.

6. Spiritual – weekly meditation, prayer, or communion with a higher source.

7. Material – weekly acquiring of wealth and/or possessions.

This is what we have observed in our interactions with individual and organizational participants in the Sinister Way.  It indicates a greater coordination and movement towards unification amongst persons and organizations who view themselves as part of the Left Hand Path.  One thing we’ve discovered is that the LHP does not favor a certain set of religious beliefs, the practice of magic, or ideology.  This dark pursuit of ours is accessible, permissive, and expansive… up to a certain point, of course.  That is why this document encourages those who qualify as Left Hand Path practitioners to consider themselves kindred blood.

It is hoped that tangible results will come from the crystallized formation of goals.  Those who wish to use this as a model of personal responsibility are welcome to go forth into the night with our findings.  Chaos, disorder, and disarray might be workable, or even fruitful, in the early stages of a burgeoning movement; however, once a current rapidly starts flowing it takes a certain amount of order to realize all the things of which we have dreamt.

Autonomy, Power, Self-Deification… this triumvirate of ambition is an outright blasphemy to the right hand path.  Our laughter in the face of slavery only creates indignation in the peasantry, but don’t we, the noble minority, also wish to instill a healthy dose of fear in the rabble opposing us?  And think of all the people in the world who have no idea what the Left Hand Path is!  How many potential practitioners would be on our side if only we allowed ourselves to be recognized?  Each baleful individual and each shadowy group is part of a greater whole… a vast network of philosophical and/or spiritual dissenters who see the need for evolution.  The Cult of Cthulhu is prepared to adopt these criteria because launching a major offensive without some kind of plan is the height of stupidity.  We attack consensual reality at every moment; not just as Cultists but as members of the Left Hand Path! Of course, if you choose to create your own particular goals for the Sinister Way, more power to you.
