Honors and Ascensions for 2011

A lot has happened for those immersed in the Cthulhu Cult.  It’s not yet Walpurgisnacht and already we have a new, vibrant, and engaging social network.  What else occurred? People interviewed, projects proposed, lines drawn, questions raised and answered, friends and foes appeared then disappeared only to reappear once more, realizations erupted, art created, will manifested, memes usurped, balance struck, and individuals Awoke.  What else could we ask for?  Well… how about a little recognition!

As for Honors, it may come as a shock but I am pleased to award Jason Sorrell [ http://www.creativeodditiesstudios.com/ ] as a Defender of the Emerald Faith.  Even though he and I may not always agree, we both have The Work in mind whilst pursuing our individual agendas.  Forsake me from time to time, if you will, Jason, but please keep believing in the Cult of Cthulhu.  It’s all some of us have that’s real in this world.

And I’m glad to finally honor Shugz352 aka SugarCubz with Knight of the Chartreuse Void.  Her persistent advice and helpful deconstruction of our memeplex has made the Cult of Cthulhu superior to its former incarnation.  We keep shedding our skin because this serpent doesn’t rest for long; we keep moving.  Reality is more interesting thanks to you, sister.  [ http://onanxs.wordpress.com/ ]

Regarding Cult of Cthulhu Ascensions, I’m grateful for the following Cultists, their commitment to the paradigm, to me, and to their tireless work on themselves.  The following degrees are well deserved.

Such is my Will.  Leading this religion is rarely easy, but the burden is lessened by those Cultists who strive to evolve.  I see their struggle as my own.  I value the hard work and dedication it takes to look at oneself objectively over and over again.  I haven’t always liked what I saw in myself, but those formidable glances are crucial.  Otherwise, we never change… and change is why this religion was formed.

To those seeking advancement, focus on your chief aim.  Put in the effort and super effort when needed.  Do what you originally thought was impossible by taking it one day at a time, just trying to get a little better than before.  Eventually, you’ll see the light or Consciousness at the end of the tunnel.  The moment to surprise yourself and impress the upper tiers of the ziggurat is now!
